Today, AppleCare+ with theft and loss coverage is available in France, Italy, and Spain.
The AppleCare+ plan includes accidental damage coverage, as well as coverage for up to two incidents of iPhone theft or loss every year, with each incident subject to a 129 service fee. It costs up to 229 upfront for a two-year term or up to 11.49 per month for the iPhone model.
If a customer's phone is lost or stolen and they have AppleCare+ with theft and loss coverage, they can file a claim for a replacement phone for 129, which is less than the cost of a new phone. Insurance company AIG handles theft and loss claims in several European countries.
It costs up to an extra 60 upfront or up to an extra 3 per month for AppleCare+ with theft and loss coverage.
AppleCare+ theft and loss coverage requires customers to have Find My enabled on their phone at the time it is lost or stolen, and throughout the claims process. Before they can be issued a replacement device, the customer will be asked to wipe their missing phone, disabling it, and transferring ownership.
In France, Italy, and Spain you can find more information on the AppleCare+ for iPhone page. Additional information is included in the support document.
The United States, Australia, Germany, Japan, and the United Kingdom have AppleCare+ with theft and loss coverage.
