When you were a child, you dreamed of being a professional video game tester or a professional candy taste tester. Now that you think about it, eating candy all day is not a good idea. How much does it cost?

Candy Funhouse, a Canadian candy warehouse company, is looking for people over the age of five to fill its chief candy officer position. How much is the pay? The hire will make 100,000 Canadian dollars, or $78,000, to lead Funhouse's "candy strategy." Whoever gets the job will be able to work from either Newark, New Jersey or Toronto, Canada, according to the company.

The CCO will have to try at least 3,500 snacks a month in order to get a stamp of approval. Tasting over 100 pieces of candy or snacks a day is what that means. This sounds like a terrible idea even if you only eat a small portion of each treat. Excess sugar intake has been linked to chronic health issues. Sugar substitute options are not that good.

They may be looking for someone with experience in candy or media. It seems like the new position is more of a kind of influencer job than anything else. The new CCO will be seen in videos. It makes sense that they are advertising a position to anyone over the age of five.

They need someone who doesn't have food allergies. It will be interesting to see how they test applicants' taste buds during their average zoom interview, but I guess that's all part of the beauty of these proceedings.

The company pays $17 to $24 an hour for a social media personality. The $78,000 salary and chronic tooth aches are not as bad as they seem. There is a position with an extensive dental plan.

The position is no longer open on the professional networking site.
