Ian Rapoport @RapSheetBrutal day at #Broncos practice: Both standout WR Tim Patrick and RB Damarea Crockett went down with apparent knee injuries and both are having MRIs. There is a fear, sources say, that both are significant.
Patrick has become an important player for the Broncos over the past two seasons. He caught 51 passes for 742 yards and six touchdown in 2020 and 53 passes for 734 yards and five scores the following year.
The Broncos signed him to a three year extension in November.
Patrick was supposed to be Russell Wilson's third choice at receiver. His loss will be a blow to the Broncos' playoff hopes.
"It's difficult," Jackson told reporters after the practice. It's not possible to replace a guy like that. We don't know what the magnitude is, but we hope it's not serious and that he will be back with us this year. It's difficult.
