The New York Yankees traded outfielder Joey Gallo to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
SI.com reported that the Yankees would be getting a pitcher in the deal.
Gallo, a two-time All-Star, was acquired by the Yankees in a trade with the Texas Rangers. He has a.158 average and has struck out 106 times in 233 at-bats.
The Yankees acquired All-Star outfielder Andrew Benintendi from the Kansas City Royals last week.
The Dodgers are currently without Chris Taylor, who is out with a broken foot.
The right-handed pitcher is winless with a 5.75 earned run average in 18 appearances for the Tulsa Drillers this season.
