A 59-year-old Asian woman was slashed by an attacker in New York City over the weekend.
The incident took place at 7th Ave. and W. 42nd St.
The video shows the attacker running up to the victim and cutting her with a knife.
The victim said she mimicked her attacker's actions. I said 'Ah' when I felt someone punch my arm and hand. It's throbbing very badly.
It was criticized for having a white character who was out to kill Asian people.

According to reports, the victim, who works as a tailor, had a deep cut on her hand and a less serious wound on her arm. She was treated at the hospital.
The victim thinks it could have been an anti- Asian incident. The New York Police Department is investigating the case as a possible hate crime.

The victim's daughter told the New York Post that it was a very violent thing to do. I wouldn't wish this on anyone.
The daughter of the victim suggested that the attacker might be mentally ill.

She told the New York Daily News that she hopes they are found soon. If it is a mental health related issue, I hope they get the treatment they need. I hope that the perpetrators are found and brought to justice.
