Bairstow is taking a break before the Test series against South Africa.

Bairstow was going to play for Welsh Fire in the opening match.

He needs to take a break before the South Africa Test series.

The three-Test series between England and South Africa will begin on August 17th.

Bairstow played in all four of England's Tests this summer and hit four centuries in his last five outings.

He played nine white-ball matches for England after sitting out three Twenty20.

Welsh Fire said they understood and wished him the best.

BenStokes opted out of The Hundred to manage his own workload

England's other Test players signed to Hundred teams, such as batter Joe Root at Trent Rockets and Fire's Ollie Pope, will be available before joining up with the Test squad but will each manage their schedules on a case- by-case basis.

In the opening match of the men's competition, Fire will take on Southern Brave at the Ageas Bowl.
