Watching England dance, sing and show off their trophy in front of thousands at Trafalgar Square was enough to satisfy supporters for a long time.

Their first major trophy, a fine 20-match run under manager SarinaWiegman, and a record-breaking home Euros are some of the highlights. I don't think it gets much better.

Delighted England fans have called for statues ofWiegman to be built outside Wembley Stadium to celebrate her and her team's success, as well as home towns having offered "freedom of the boroughs" to England's stars.

Lucy Bronze has begun to think about the World Cup in 2023 despite all the deserved praise.

"I feel on top of Europe, but there's still one more we can get our hands on," Bronze said in London's famous square.

The star that signifies a team has won the World Cup isn't on the England shirt.

Our goal is to get that star there.

The Lionesses, who are top of their World Cup qualification group, don't have long to wait to try and win a trophy.

It will be high hopes that the team can end their wait for a World Cup title, given what England have achieved in the last 10 months.

Mark Bullingham, the FA's chief executive, admitted that winning the Euros so early on was something they hadn't expected, and that winning the World Cup was more realistic.

The foundations for the future were laid by England's success at the European Championships.

As Bronze pointed out, young players like final match-winnerChloe Kelly, 24, and "super-sub" Alessia Russo, 23, were all competing in their first major tournament and have only experienced winning.

The final victory over Germany will stand them in good stead for years to come.

The mental barrier that was once there for the senior players is no longer a problem.

Toone said they always wanted more. We've been waiting a long time for this and we want more.

We want to do the same things we did at the World Cup.

England has youth on their side.

There are 11 players in the Euros squad who are aged 25 or younger, including the captain and key players.

Mary Earps is the number one goalkeeper, but she is only 29 years old.

It's unlikely that there will be much change in the squad next year.

Alex Morgan, Megan Rapinoe and Carli Lloyd have helped the United States win back-to-back World Cup titles.

The efficiency in which they won their first silverware makes it hard to see them not challenging for more.

England's camp was brought together in a way they hadn't been before, thanks to a change in culture that came about whenWiegman arrived.

Success early strengthened that. England scored 53 goals without reply in six matches by the end of the 21st century, after they won 8-0 in her first game.

They won the Arnold Clark Cup in February, beating Germany, Canada and Spain, who were all ranked above them.

Performances improved and she impressed with her tactical intelligence and effective decision making.

She was able to plot a route to the Euros title, she asked for more competitive fixtures, she asked to play games around the country to build home support, and she requested specific requests for the Euros base camp in London.

They are willing to back her and her staff because of the FA showing. She will get the support of the organisation again.

With the players now under intense scrutiny, expectation will increase.

The Lionesses are able to deal with pressure.

Spain, Germany, France, Austria and Belgium are some of the countries that will be better next year. It becomes more difficult to win the World Cup if you include four-time world champion USA and Olympic champion Canada.

The question of how to stop England will be uppermost in the minds of the teams as they begin to prepare for the tournament.
