Russia’s War in Ukraine Reveals More Problems in Space

A replacement for the Russian Orbital Service Station could be developed and launched as early as the year 2028, according to the man behind the project.

It took Russia more than 12 years to develop its Nauka module, which was launched to the International Space Station last year. Considering their funding issues, I don't think that's true. Quality control and corruption issues are included in Russia's civil space program. I don't know if they could afford to build their own space station and still contribute to the International Space Station.

China launched its second module, Wentian, last week as it builds its own space station. The third module will be launched in October. Neither Chinese nor Russian officials have given any indication that they will work together on that station, which would be hard to reach from a Russian launch site. China and Russia will work together to build a research station on the moon in the 20th century.

The military is one of the largest investments in space. The country has developed, deployed, and used weapons against satellites. Russia has made use of electronic and cyber weapons against satellites and ground systems and has tested anti-satellite missiles. Both the US and China are working on similar technologies.

Johnson thinks that this could be part of a trend in which traditional military contractors are becoming more like NASA and the Pentagon. A Pentagon partnership for the space transportation of military supplies is being explored by the company.

Satellite companies could be affected by conflicts on the ground. According to the international law of armed conflict, militant groups cannot attack civilians. If Starlink and Maxar's are being used for both civilian and military purposes, they could become targets for Russia.
