According to an internal Apple memo obtained by MacRumors, the company is aware of the audio issues that users have been experiencing when using its studio display, but that it doesn't have a permanent fix for the issue. According to reports, the memo was distributed to Apple's network of authorized service providers and recommended that users take the Studio Display out of its power source and connect it back up after 10 seconds.
The studio display was released by apple The display is designed to integrate many of the other devices found on a typical desk, and includes built-in speakers, microphones, and aWebcam. Users have been reporting issues on Apple's support pages, as well as on the Macrumors own forums. Sound dropouts, distortion, and choppy play are reported.
Since yesterday my Studio Display will only play audio for a few seconds and then it stops. Audio playback works fine on the MacBook Pro that’s connected to the display. Not sure if it’s hardware or software related. I’m running the Ventura beta.

Anyone seeing something similar? pic.twitter.com/u4yO1bFubq
One video posted by Simon B. Stvring shows audio played through the studio display cutting out after a couple of seconds, while another shows a speaker not working. Mario Guzmn said that audio from his two studio displays will get choppy before it ends.
The good news is that Apple suggests that the problems aren't caused by the hardware but by a future software update. There is no concrete information on when this more permanent fix could arrive. Apple did not reply immediately.
This is not the first time that Apple has had a problem with its expensive monitor. The device'sWebcam looked terrible when we first looked at it. It was horrible in both light and darkness. Apple eventually issued a software update that attempted to address the issues, but while it improved elements of theWebcam's performance, its quality still falls short compared to other webcams on the market. You can see for yourself.
It looks bad for Apple's Mac accessory. The studio display has a lot more that can potentially go wrong.
