Colin Farrell in front of The Penguin poster

Colin Farrell recently told Entertainment Weekly that he expects shooting to start on his straight-to-order series early next year, despite the lack of activity at San Diego Comic-Con. He would be very open to returning to the role of Batman in the second part of the film.

You're kidding me? Farrell was a happy man. Are you having a good time with me? I have been near the man. It was a joy to do that.

One of the best new versions of the Penguin for this era was Farrell's portrayal of Oswald "Oz" Cobblepot. His timing was funny and helped sell lines. His Spanish lesson to Gordon and Bats helped them solve a puzzle. Even if it is not for a long time, we would definitely like to see more of him. Farrell said that Matt was hovering over the keyboard to plan the story.

As far as I know, he is still a part of the show. Farrell said that he is obsessive about what he does, but he is also interested in The Penguin. He isn't going to direct it but he's all over the structure of the script and who's going to direct them. It's exciting.
