Boswell was signed to a four-year, $20 million extension with $12.5 million in guarantees by the Pittsburgh Steeler.

Boswell is the highest paid kicker in the league with an average salary of $5 million.

He was going to be a free agent after the football season. He said last week that he wasn't worried about the lack of a new contract.

He told reporters that the Steelers had their priorities, who they would sign and when. Whatever happens at that point will happen.

The Steelers signed Minkah Fitzpatrick to a four-year, $73.6 million extension in order to prevent him from going to another team. Boswell was going to get a multiyear contract if the franchise was so proactive with Fitzpatrick.

Boswell has made 88.3% of his field goal attempts in seven seasons in Pittsburgh. He has been better at home and away.

It has been 1328 days (and counting) since Chris Boswell last missed a FG in the 4th quarter or overtime.

He’s been a perfect 32/32 for the Steelers since then. Talk about clutch.

It can be difficult to be a kicker in the NFL. If you have a bad season, you can lose your job.

Boswell is not like Tucker. He's been worth his weight in gold for the Steelers, and there's nothing to suggest that will change in the near future.
