Washington was carted off the field and is being tested.
Washington signed a one-year contract with the Cowboys in the off-season after spending the first four seasons of his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
With Michael Gallup not expected to be ready to play in Week 1 after tearing anACL in January, the outside receiver starting spot is up for grabs and Washington was one of the players competing for that job.
Washington had 24 catches for 281 yards and two scores in 15 games.
Washington had 114 catches for 1,629 yards and 11 touchdown with the PittsburghSteelers.
