  • The device will only support 125W charging in the U.S. but will hit max speed outside North America.
  • The OnePlus 10T will be fully announced on August 3.

The OnePlys 10T will support 125W charging in the US when it launches on August 3.

The maximum wired charging speed was confirmed in a recent deep dive. The device will be limited to 125W because of outlet limitations.

The limitation of 65W charging in the U.S. is similar to the limitation of 80W charging in other parts of the world. The company said at the time that 80W SUPERVOOC doesn't currently support 120 or 120-volt AC power.

The 10T will have limited charging in the US, but it's not all bad. It will be possible to top up the phone's battery in 20 minutes, compared to 19 minutes with 150W charging. In the U.S., it's hard to find a phone with those speeds.

The device will technically support 150W charging no matter where you buy it, and all models ship with a 160W SUPER VOOC power adapter. The outlet you use to charge it with is more important than anything else. The full 150W charging speeds will be provided by charging the North American version of the phone.

The battery health is a concern. Four years of use is what the company says the battery will retain after 1,600 charge cycles.
