There were two 4-4 games. The MLS was on one this weekend.

The league leaders mounting an impressive come-from-behind victory and Mother Nature's fury was hidden behind the eight goals. There are three days left before the transfer window closes.

There are goals, comebacks, stars, and a league that can still be flipped upside down by a new signing. You have it all, except for the chance to take a deep breath, and you have MLS Power Rankings as well.

1. LAFC

The previous ranking was one.

The next MLS match is at Real Salt Lake. Time.

The way LAFC squeezes the life out of opponents is perhaps the most impressive thing about the team. LAFC took the lead before the half and then completely took the life out of the Seattle team in the second half after an own goal. The Black and Gold will eventually take control and leave you for dead.

2. Philadelphia Union

The previous ranking was three.

The next MLS match is on August 3. There is an hour and a half on the Disney+ channel.

The Union did not need more help or more bright young talent. The 19-year-old, who has started three in a row for the Union, had a goal and an assist in Philadelphia's win over Houston. Rich people get richer.

3. New York City FC

The previous rank was 2.

The next MLS match is on August 6th. There is an hour and a half on the Disney+ channel.

What did NYCFC look like in its first game? A team without the reigningMVP. It is impossible to not notice the quality that left for Spain despite the fact that it played Montreal for a0-0 draw.

4. Austin FC

The previous ranking was five.

The next MLS match is against the Earthquakes. There is an hour and a half on the Disney+ channel.

Sebastian Driussi is up to five goals and three assists in Austin's past six games, so you can't say he's just feasted on weak competition, as he did in a 2-0 win against SKC this weekend. If the Argentine started to think about where the trophy should be, you would understand.

play

Austin FC scored a goal in the 90th minute by Sebastin Driussi to take a 2-0 lead.

5. New York Red Bulls

The previous ranking was four.

The next MLS match is on August 2nd at Colorado Rapids. There is an hour and a half on the Disney+ channel.

The Red Bulls played closer to Barcelona than they did toOrlando. It would be a point of pride for Phil Neville, but he isn't a Red Bull.

6. FC Dallas

The previous ranking was six.

The next MLS match is on August 2nd. There is an hour and a half on the Disney+ channel.

Dallas had a lot of matches this season in which the score didn't reflect its play, so you won't see the club apologize for the result. Eventually the soccer gods are going to be just.

7. CF Montreal

The previous ranking was eight.

The next MLS match is on August 3. There is an hour and a half on the Disney+ channel.

One shot. Montreal gave up to NYCFC. The Quebecois deserved to win but they didn't create enough and had to settle for a draw. Montreal's MLS Cup chances are at risk if it adds a forward to this squad, because it would be a real problem.

8. Minnesota United

The previous rank was 9.

The next MLS match is on August 6. There is an hour and a half on the Disney+ channel.

Everyone else will remember the four they scored in a rip-roaring draw with Portland, but managers don't usually look back fondly on four goals conceded. Don't trust the manager.

play

The score was tied at 4-4 when Luis Amarilla scored his second goal.

9. Real Salt Lake

The previous ranking was eight.

The next MLS match will be on August 6. Time.

It was good for the strikers to play away from a win. Jefferson Savarino hasn't resulted in a lot of wins since he was signed. Salt Lake was only able to draw in San Jose. Is it a mystery or is it an enigma?

10. Nashville SC

The previous ranking was ten.

The next MLS match is on August 3rd. There is an hour and a half on the Disney+ channel.

Nashville failed to win at home for the third time in as many years. Nashville is the only team in the league that has not won a match at home.

11. Portland Timbers

The previous ranking was fourteen.

The next MLS game is on August 3. There is an hour and a half on the Disney+ channel.

Was it a point won or a point lost in the crazy 4-4 tie at Minnesota? The points dropped but the challenge of a red-hot opponent on the road said a point won. The Fun Soccer Judges say that the game ruled.

12. FC Cincinnati

The previous ranking was twelve.

The next MLS game is against Philadelphia Union. There is an hour and a half on the Disney+ channel.

Brandon is doing everything he can to make Berhalter think long and hard about giving him a chance. It may be less about whether he gets a chance to play for the national team in September and more about whether Berhalter rues not bringing him in sooner.

play

There is a ball in the air and a player in the box.

13. Orlando City

The previous rank was 11.

The next MLS match is against the Revolution. There is an hour and a half on the Disney+ channel.

The Lions rely on a bend-don't-break defense. They broke in a loss. Against D.C.

14. Columbus Crew

The previous ranking was 13.

The next MLS game is on August 3. There is an hour and a half on the Disney+ channel.

There was only one thing that could stop Cucho. Charlotte was able to get the match postponed when Columbus came to town.

15. Seattle Sounders

The previous ranking was fifteen.

The next MLS game is on August 2nd against FC Dallas. The program is hosted by ABC.

The team that lost to LAFC is not going to be faulted for the result, but it was still shocking to see how they were completely out of the game in the second half.

16. LA Galaxy

The previous rank was 16.

The next MLS match is on August 6th. There is an hour and a half on the Disney+ channel.

One week he is the future of the team, the next he is having a penalty saved in a loss. Life can come at you quickly.

play

Franco Jara scored the first goal of the game for Dallas.

17. Inter Miami CF

The previous ranking was 18.

The next MLS match is on August 3. There is an hour and a half on the Disney+ channel.

Inter and Cincinnati played to a 4-4 draw in the 97th minute after Inter equalized in the first half. Can we discuss Higuan's free-kick goal now that it's out of the way? The video had to go forward because the ball came off his foot so quickly. Someone is looking into who doctored the movie. I don't think that was true.

18. Colorado Rapids

The previous rank was 17

The next MLS match is in New York. There is an hour and a half on the Disney+ channel.

The Rapids had a perfect week. It might be the key to not playing.

19. Charlotte FC

The previous rank was 19

The next MLS match is on August 3. There is an hour and a half on the Disney+ channel.

The man of the match is the Charlotte weatherman.

20. Toronto FC

The previous rank was 22.

The next MLS match is August 6th. There is an hour and a half on the Disney+ channel.

TFC is not a very good team according to the results of the New England games. For the second week in a row your eyes tell you different things. If Insigne converted his penalties, it would be helpful.

play

In the final minutes of the game, Christopher McVey scored on a ball off the post.

21. New England Revolution

The previous ranking was twenty.

The next MLS match is on August 6th. There is an hour and a half on the Disney+ channel.

The Revs' penalty save by Djordje Petrovic earned them a draw against TFC, and the data backs it up. Who is Matt Turner?

22. Vancouver Whitecaps

The previous rank was 23.

The next MLS match is on August 5th. There is an hour and a half on the Disney+ channel.

The Whitecaps drew a match. Let me correct that The Whitecaps were the Canadian Championship winning team.

23. Chicago Fire

The previous rank was 21.

The next MLS match is on August 6. There is an hour and a half on the Disney+ channel.

The draw against Atlanta is disappointing, but the Fire overcame the other side of the city to get the win. If we are being fair, that is worth a second point.

24. Atlanta United FC

The previous rank was 24.

The next MLS match is in August. The program is hosted by ABC.

After a mostly anonymous draw in Chicago, the Five Stripes are starting to look more and more like the rest of us, waiting to see who Arthur Blank will choose to turn this club around

play

Real Salt Lake salvaged a draw with the San Jose Earthquakes thanks to Jefferson Savarino's late goal.

25. San Jose Earthquakes

The previous rank was 26.

The next MLS match is on August 3. There is an hour and a half on the Disney+ channel.

The Quakes have done a good job of finding a new forward in a lost year. Jeremy Ebobisse scored his 12th goal of the season in the San Jose Earthquakes 2-2 draw with Real Salt Lake.

26. Houston Dynamo

The previous rank was 25.

The next MLS match is on August 5th. There is an hour and a half on the Disney+ channel.

The Dynamo didn't look bad even though they lost to Philadelphia by six goals.

27. D.C. United

The previous rank was 28.

The next MLS match is on August 3. There is an hour and a half on the Disney+ channel.

It wasn't Wayne Rooney sprinting back 50 yards to make a heroic tackle and then launching a ball for Luciano Acosta to score, but it was Rooney againstOrlando once more, so of course D.C. scored twice in the final minute. We have a cup contender on our hands if D.C. plays the Lions every week.

28. Sporting Kansas City

The previous rank was 27.

The next MLS match will be on August 6th. It's on ABC.

When you lose 2-0 and your Man of the Match is not on the field, it's not good.
