According to a new book, Donald Trump apologized to Ted Cruz after he insulted him.

The extracts of the book were obtained by the Guardian.

He wrote that Trump apologized to Cruz before he delivered a speech at the RNC.

During the 2016 primary campaign, Trump called Cruz's wife ugly, claimed Cruz's father was involved in a JFK assassination plot, and called Cruz a liar.

Trump apologized for some of the things he said about Cruz, which was unusual for him, according to the book.

According to the book, Trump told Cruz that he thought they could work together when he was president.

"Political Prisoner: Persecuted, Prosecuted, but Not Silenced" will be released in September.

It's notable that the claim is not taken back by Trump, who frequently calls his political opponents derogatory names.

The book says that Trump wanted to get Cruz's support for his candidacy.

Cruz didn't endorse Trump in his speech.

As Cruz spoke, Trump said "This is bullshit" and walked to the back of the convention hall.

Cruz was one of Trump's most ardent Senate allies.

Cruz claimed in an interview with the Texas Tribune that Trump had not apologized for the insult.

He said in the interview that he endorsed Trump after consulting with his family.
