The passengers were stuck in England for 40 hours due to technical issues with the plane.

The news was reported by the newspaper.

The flight, operated by a partner of the German travel company, was scheduled to leave from Norfolk at 7.40 pm on Friday 29 July. It did not leave until almost two days later.

Travelers only discovered the technical issues after arriving at the airport.

The passenger described the event as chaotic. There had been a lack of communication about when the flight would leave.

He said they couldn't get through on the phone so he hung up.

On Friday, half an hour before they were about to leave, he and his family were told the flight was going to be delayed. They headed to the airport because they were assured the flight would leave that evening.

Passengers were forced to either drive home or stay in local hotels when the flight wouldn't leave that night.

The delay of flight AP5480 fromNorwich to Palma, operated by an airline partner, was unfortunately delayed due to a technical fault which needed to be repaired, according to a spokesman for the company.

The company apologized to passengers and thanked them for being patient.
