John Oliver takes a troubling look at the state of mental health care in the U.S.

In the last episode of Last Week Tonight, U.S. mental health care is shown to be no exception.

Oliver says that about four in 10 adults in the U.S. have reported symptoms of anxiety of depression, and that more than half the people who need mental health care don't receive it.

Oliver breaks down some of the mental health care issues such as insurance company denials and the large number of therapists leaving the profession.

In the past, a lot of the problem here was that people wouldn't ask for help. We aren't in a position to give help to people when they reach out.

We have to support the people who deliver mental health care if we want to respect and value it.
