  • More security issues regarding the Pixel 6a's fingerprint sensor have surfaced following its market release.
  • Some users report that the phone can recognize fingerprints that have not previously been scanned.
  • However, because only a few cases have been reported, the problem may be isolated.

Just a few days after its market release, the Pixel 6a seems to be experiencing its own share of problems.

A potential security flaw seems to be haunting the device, despite the slight improvement in its under-display fingerprints compared to its more expensive siblings. Several users reported that their devices recognised their fingerprints.

The problem seems to be an isolated one. The four units it checked were unaffected by the issue. It's not clear how widespread the problem is. If you can register your fingers again, you can try to remove the fingerprints from the phone.

The June security patch is included in the first update. The update is currently being rolled out and will be available on a wider range of devices over the next week.

Let's hope the device doesn't have a lot of bugs.
