Apple's Online Store is Currently Down in Some Countries

In addition to the United States, Canada, Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, and more, Apple's online store is currently down. The store is still open in some other countries.

The store page says that they are making updates to the store. Customers are advised to check back soon.

It's not clear if the downtime is related to scheduled maintenance, the launch of a new product, the roll out of a new promotional offer, or something else.

There was a new promotion in the U.S. that offered a $50 Apple gift card with the purchase of any new Apple TV. It is possible that there will be another promotion in some countries on the final day of July, but we will have to wait and see.
