Passengers at one of the UK's busiest airports were so angry that they crawled through a luggage conveyer belt.

The video, filmed by an undercover reporter working as a baggage handler, shows angry passengers at Manchester Airport pushing their way through the conveyor belt to question staff about the delayed flights.

One passenger who crawled through complained that they had been waiting for an hour and 20 minutes for their bags.

The passengers were told that the conveyor belt would deliver the luggage, but another agent told them it wasn't likely because of the delays.

Dispatches, an investigative program that airs on UK Channel 4, shows that people crawling through the entrance all the time, and that passengers sometimes try to fight staff out of frustration.

One worker said he was often left to do a two-man job on his own.

Dispatches investigated the shortage of baggage handler at airports in the US and Europe after Swissport laid off thousands of workers.

I don't know how people do this kind of work at 3 a.m. The undercover reporter working on the investigation stated that it was brutal. They don't get a lot of credit. No flights will take off without them. Everyone will not be going on holiday.

Swissport apologized for the disruptions at Manchester Airport and said they were doing everything they could to mitigate them.
