This is a play on the idea of emotional support animals. With the Department of Transportation's 2020 rule changes regarding emotional support animals, it might be a good idea to call them psychiatric support beverages.
Kimpton only deals with delayed or canceled flights. What about when you misplace your bag? The Kimpton De Witt Amsterdam will be serving wine for the rest of the summer if that's the case.
Kimpton will give a glass of wine to people who complain about their flight being delayed or canceled. It makes a bad situation a little better if we can get to our destination on time and not have to drink wine.
Kimpton deserves a lot of credit for this idea. My sympathies are with Kimpton associates who have to hear about the flight delays.
