The trend of former slave cabins being rented out as luxurious holiday spots has been slammed by a Black TikToker.
The Panther Burn Cabin was listed as a bed and breakfast room in a now- deleted listing. The property has a dark past.
The cabin was once used as a slave cabin and as a sharecropper cabin.
Is it ok for someone to rent this out? A civil rights attorney said in a video that human beings were kept as slaves.
Some of the property reviews were described as "memorable" by the TikTok user.
He said that it wouldn't teach people about the conditions enslaved people endure. He said that thelawfoot tub, running water, tiles, lights, and towels were some of the things.
The history of slavery is beingmocked by turning the property into a luxurious vacation spot, according to Lawyer Wynton.
This particular listing is no longer on the plantation's website.
Insider's requests for comment were not responded to by the two companies.
Other former slaves' quarters can be used as luxury accommodations.
Several properties in New Orleans, Louisiana are for rent that began as housing for the slaves.
