A couple and their baby were stranded at the Portland airport in Maine after Delta Air Lines failed to let them know their flight was canceled.

After spending a week in Vermont and Maine,Vincent and his wife and baby went to check in their luggage at the airport for their flight to Indianapolis.

The couple was happy after a great week, but then they were told that their flight had been canceled and that they would not be going. We didn't receive any email. We got text messages. We were not notified.

A friend dropped us off at his house. When we arrived at the airport, we had a baby with us.

The couple didn't think they'd need a car seat for their son because their friends dropped them off at the airport.

The flight they were supposed to take at 3pm was canceled and they had to find a new one the next morning.

He said thatDelta didn't give them hotel vouchers or help at all.

The only hotel within walking distance wouldn't accept his request for a distressed passenger rate after he asked for hotel vouchers. The man paid $400 for a room.

It wouldn't have been the end of the world if they had told us of the cancellation. Being stuck in an airport with a baby and no car seat is a nightmare.

Extra diapers and formula were brought. The formula shortage has been crazy enough without having to be stuck in an airport.

Delta did not reply immediately.
