The flooding at Planet Hollywood during the monsoon was frightening to a Las Vegas vacationer.
LaShundra Woods had just come back from dinner with her family when she walked into the hotel and saw people gathered around the gaming tables.
She said nothing could catch that amount of water. As if it was raining from the inside, it poured in.
Woods, who captured the extraordinary weather event on TikTok, said in addition to the flooding, debris fell from the ceiling.
The city experienced flooding from the monsoon that hit on Thursday night.
The homes and apartments in the area were damaged. More than 30 people were displaced when trees were knocked into an apartment building.

According to Megan Poff, the data chief for the Nevada Water Science Center of the US Geological Survey, monsoon season lasts throughout July and September in the state.
Poff told Insider that you can look across the valley and see the rain hitting somewhere.
She said that the storm landing on the Las Vegas strip was unusual.
The National Weather Service said that some areas of Las Vegas saw over 1 inch of rain on Thursday. The Las Vegas area gets an average of 4.2 inches of rain per year, according to John Adair, a meteorology professor.
The city is cleaning up the debris after the storm.
Insider did not get a response from Planet Hollywood.
