President Joe Biden tested positive for Covid-19 for the second time in less than a week, his physician said.

According to a memo shared by the White House, Biden is feeling well and experiencing no new symptoms.

The president's physician wrote that he would re-institute strict isolation procedures.

Biden said that he was asymptomatic but would keep his distance for the sake of everyone.

The president will be back on the road soon.

Biden used the antiviral medication Paxlovid as part of his treatment, and O'Connor warned of the risk of abounding in positive test results.

Biden had increased his testing regimen to protect people around him and to assure early detection of any return of viral replication, according to the latest memo.

On Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, the president tested negative for Covid, but on Saturday he tested positive. The doctor wrote that this is a sign of rebirth.

Biden is at higher risk of being seriously ill from Covid. According to the CDC, more than 1 million people have died from the virus in the U.S.

The President has not experienced any reappearance of symptoms. There is no reason for treatment to be stopped at the moment.

He will impose strict isolation procedures following his positive test. O'Connor wrote that the President continues to be very conscientious to protect any of the Executive Residence, White House, Secret Service and other staff who need to be close to him.
