  • A new SurveyUSA poll shows that the Georgia Senate race is too close to call.

  • A full six-year term is what Warnock wants after winning a Senate election.

  • Walker is supported by former President Trump.

According to a new poll conducted by SurveyUSA for 11Alive News, the Democratic senator from Georgia has a nine-point lead over his Republican opponent.

According to the survey, 42% of likely voters in the Peach State supported Warnock, while Walker got 39%.

Nine-in-ten Democrats were lined up behind Warnock, while Walker got the support of the majority of Republicans in the survey.

Georgia has gone from a Republican stronghold to a swing state due to the support of Democratic candidates in recent cycles.

Walker, who was born in Augusta and grew up in rural Wrightsville, had a 28 point lead among rural voters. Democratic gains in the fast-growing Atlanta metropolitan area have started to cut into GOP margins in recent statewide races.

Republicans think that Walker's name recognition in the state and the endorsement from Trump will help the GOP in the upcoming election.

In addition to making inroads with GOP voters, he also led Walker with independents, a group that has supported fewer Republicans in statewide races. According to CNN exit polling, Joe Biden won Georgia independents by a huge margin over Donald Trump.

Walker has had to deal with a lot of questions regarding his campaign, from public revelations about the number of children that he has fathered to remarks that he made regarding climate policy.

The case that he has been laser focused on the economy in the face of Biden's low approval ratings has been made by him.

The senator is running for his first full term in office.

Four percent of respondents said they would back another candidate, while seven percent were undecided in the governor's race.

In the poll, the majority of Democrats were in favor ofAbrams.

Independents supported Kemp by a 20% margin, which is a clear edge that favors the Republican despite the fact thatAbrams has done a better job of unifying the party.

Kemp had to beat back a challenge from an ex- senator in order to win the Democratic nomination for governor. As a result of the governor's refusal to help the former president overturn the election results in the state, David Perdue was endorsed by Trump.

Trump insisted that there was widespread election malfeasance despite Biden winning Georgia in the presidential race.

The governor's race in Georgia is a repeat of last year's contest, in which Kemp narrowly defeated the former Democratic state lawmaker and prominent voting-rights activist and avoided a second election.

The survey had a margin of error of plus or minus 5.1 percentage points.
