The Drive cloud storage service will be shutting down in 2023, according to an email from Amazon.
The alert informs users that the service will be closing. Users of Amazon Drive can back up their files in the same way that they can back up their bookmarks on the internet. The service is free for uploading files and can be accessed via the web, mobile phones, and tablets.
The company wants to focus more on photos and video with Amazon Photos.
Users can get a better understanding of what's happening on the FAQ page. The Drive cloud service app will be removed from the app stores on December 31, 2020. You won't be able to uploads files to the Amazon Drive website before January 31, 2020.

As an Amazon customer, your photos and videos in Amazon Drive have been saved to Amazon Photos. The official closing of Amazon Drive will take place on December 31, 2023.
