Today, Friday, November 1, Virgil Abloh's official IKEA collaboration finally lands in stores. Yes, after what feels like an eternity of teasers, launches, and carpet pre-sales, the entire collection's arrival is here. Earlier this week, Abloh dropped an official commercial for the collection on his Instagram. The short trailer showcases the collection's product lineup, showing the pieces as they could be used in the home, watch it below.

The collection is called "MARKERAD," which means "marked" in English. It is built from 13 pieces that carry Abloh signifiers: either orange design accents or quotation mark-encased words that carry a somewhat ironic take on the objects use and aesthetic. The brown IKEA bag - replacing the iconic blue one, for example - is stamped "SCULPTURE," while a green fluffy rug features the warning "WET GRASS."

Given how coveted the collab is (after all, how often can you get Abloh pieces for less than the steep Off-White™ and Louis Vuitton retail prices), IKEA had to introduce a system for copping. On November 1, customers can line up at IKEA stores to get wristbands from 7am local time with sales starting at 10am. Everything is on a first come, first served basis. One wristband per person with a limit of one product per type per person (ie. you can't buy three bags, no matter how much linen you want to store in them).
