Carnival Cruise Line lifted pre-cruise testing on short cruises after the end of the CDC's Cruise Ships Covid Program.
Carnival dropped pre-cruise testing for passengers on cruises of less than five nights. Three days prior to departure, pre-cruise testing can be done.
There will be no in-terminal testing for unvaccinated guests on the day of departure, but they must provide proof of a negative result of a lab-administered or supervised rapid Covid test.
Carnival said that more changes would be announced soon and that they are subject to destinations on the itinerary.
The decision comes one day after Royal Caribbean Group dropped pre-embarkation testing for cruises of less than five days.
