A new business class suite with doors is in the works.
British Airways, Aer Lingus, and Vueling are part of the International Airlines Group. An exciting development was disclosed during the presentation.
A new business class product will be installed on the A350 plane. There is a plan for the product to be installed in December. There are 12 A350s in Iberia's fleet. It remains to be seen how the new product would be received by existing planes.
The other long haul jets in the carrier's fleet, including the A330s, will not be changed. We don't know what the cabins will look like for the eight A321s that Iberia has on order.
According to the picture that has been released, Iberia seems to be choosing the optional door for the new business class seat.
The CL6720 seat is an evolution of the CL6710 seat and can be found on a number of aircraft. Not all seats are forward facing in this configuration.
Air China will be installing the seats on the upcoming A350-900s.
This appears to be a significant upgrade over the current configuration.
There will be an all new business class product on the A350s by the late 20th century. Air China is the launch customer for the CL6720 seat. This is a huge improvement over the current class. We will have to wait until the end of next year to see these cabins on a plane.
What do you think about the new class?
