Cucurella wants to join Manchester City in order to push through a transfer.

Sky Sports News understands that the development has not changed the stance of the Seagulls in regards to the valuation of the 24 year old.

The Seagulls have turned down a £30 million bid from City for the full-back.

Cucurella, who joined from Getafe in a deal worth around 15 million pounds, was named the player of the season for the Seagulls.

Cucurella has four years left on his contract at the Amex and it would take a lot of money to let him go. The left-back asked to be sold.

Carra: Left-back the problem position under Pep

Cucurella would provide healthy competition for an outstanding left-back if he moved to the City, according to Jamie.

According to the former defender, Man City have always lacked an outstanding left-back. They have had different players at different times.

You don't know if Kyle Walker is playing right-back or left-back. Cancelo has gone in there and been as good as anyone, but I'm surePep would prefer a left footer there.

When you ask if he is worth it, Man City usually spends up to 50 million dollars on full-backs. If you play well, you think he's worth the money.

When you see him, he looks like a classy operator. I'm sure he will be a good signing because he plays the same type of football as Manchester City.

It's something that Man City might need now that they have more competition for Cancelo on the other side.
