Tumbarello didn't know if Minshew was serious when he said he wanted to live in a bus outside of Tumbarello's gym.
Tumbarello said he heard a sound from the back of the industrial building as Minshew pulled the beast into a spot near the garage. Minshew will look to build on a successful first year in Philadelphia when he reports to training camp this week.
Tumbarello said that no trainer in the country could say that a professional athlete pulled up in a bus and was eating, sleeping and living in the gym all day.
Minshew said in a video that he wanted to live on a bus since he was a kid. I enjoy the freedom that it gives me. He said it gives him a place to focus. I am living at the gym, eating, sleeping and showering here. It's everything. I have my own island here. I think it's great.
To create a fantasy football league you want to play in, you need to choose your league size, score, and rules.

In order to fulfill his dream, he bought an old prisoner transport vehicle and redecorated it with a hippie look, including a bright orange couch, white shag throw pillows, a flowery '70s-style bed skirt, and a trove of album covers. He learned to play a musical instrument.
With the property backing up to a preserve, Minshew made a gravel pit and set up a hammock nearby, which he read from a collection of books. Tumbarello said that the bus was a good place for trainers and athletes to relax on a nice summer night.
Minshew's fridge, air conditioning unit, and cooking station were all powered by the gym's electric. He used the gym's water supply and his own rinse kit to shower outdoors. The gym was the only place he could use the bathroom as the bus didn't have one.
Denny Thompson, his personal quarterbacks coach, was concerned about Minshew's decision to live on a bus. Minshew, one of the truly unique personalities in sports who likes to stretch in only a jock strap in the locker room before games, wrestles large fish, and once tried to break his own hand with a hammer, has surprised those close to the quarterback.
If someone calls you who is a professional athlete and says he's going to live on a bus in the off-season, you assume it's going to be a nicer place than your house. I don't think that's the kind of guy he is, and that's why I didn't think about it. When I saw the bus, I was even more surprised that it was not a bus. It isn't that large. Thompson said that he saw that he was thriving with it. I think it was a good thing for him to do.
Tumbarello's gym became Minshew's second home. He'd wake up at 7:30 a.m. and head inside where he'd have his breakfast and coffee. After hitting the field for an hour or two, they would take a break, and then head back inside for a workout.
Tumbarello said that they focused on a number of areas. Thompson would come in for a few days each week. They focused on quick rhythm routes with both feet planted on the ground because Minshew already excelled at off- platform throws.
Tumbarello said that they can see what his percentages are by getting data every 30 days. His flexibility is the highest it has ever been. It has been huge that he has gotten faster. At some point, you'll see that translate into the field. He's ready to go and he's stronger. The best version of Minshew is this one.
Minshew made the most of his limited opportunities in the upcoming year. The first of four straight victories that propelled the Eagles into the playoffs came in a December start against the New York Jets in which he went 20-of-26 for 242 yards with two touchdown and no turnovers.
Minshew, who spent parts of two seasons in Jacksonville, wants to return to the quarterback role he played in the past. Thompson said that Minshew's attention is on the team's success.
The focus this entire year for him was to focus on the team that he loves and wants to win the Superbowl. It was the focus of everything that he did, and nobody talked about his role with the Eagles. He said that his job was to be prepared.
If it's Super Bowl or bust for him, that's it. He lives in the back of a bus outside of his gym and throws three times a week during the year. He came to Jacksonville a few weeks ago. He did not stay in the house in Jacksonville. He was in Jacksonville on his way to Philadelphia when he parked the bus behind my gym. This is the grind that I want, this is the lifestyle that I want, and I want to make it all about ball. This isn't a luxury room, that's what the bus said. I'm enjoying it but I'm focused on football.
At the moment, the bus days are over. Minshew wants to see her in a nice and loving home and has put the bus up for sale and is asking $25,000 for it.
The vet has seen 146k miles. When I took her to get serviced recently, the mechanic said in his professional opinion, "This thing is awesome, man!"
