According to a report by MailOnline, passengers were kicked off a plane because the crew had worked too many hours, but the plane flew off without them.

The flight from the Greek island of Corfu to Aberdeen was delayed by a few hours.

Passengers were told to return to the terminal because the captain had exceeded his legal limit on working hours after taking a shuttle bus to the airport. He said that the cabin crew was the one who had timed out.

MailOnline reported that passengers were given a new flight time of 1:45pm on July 23. The flight was scheduled for this time, according to data from Flightradar 24.

He told MailOnline that while he was waiting at the airport he looked at thenywayanyday app and saw that the plane had actually left at 3:44 a.m. The plane left at this time and flew to Aberdeen.

The plane had to return to the UK as this would affect other flights, according to the spokesman. There wasn't a crew to operate the flight so passengers couldn't fly on the plane.

The passengers waiting for their flight were not provided overnight accommodations by the company. They slept on the floor in the departure lounge.

"We were told those who wanted to leave could do so but would not be allowed back into the gate until they had checked in for the new flight," he said.

Due to a lack of hotel availability in the area, we couldn't find any overnight accommodations for our customers.

The airline told affected passengers that they wouldn't be able to access their checked-in luggage during the delay, according to an email sent by the airline to affected passengers.

The airline only gave him sandwiches during the delay, but staff gave the passengers water and meal vouchers, according to a source.

The flight departed at 3:57 pm on July 23.

The passengers were kept up to date while the company worked on a new flight plan, and they were given information on how to claim compensation under EU rules, according to the spokesman.

"We do everything we can to get customers away as planned and, while instances like this are rare, we know we fell short of our usual high standards and apologize again," the spokesman said.
