The Los Angeles Angels are interested in trading for Ohtani. The team will not let go of the reigning American League Most Valuable Player.

The Angels want something like your top four prospects in exchange for Ohtani, according to Jon Heyman of the New York Post.

The Angels are still willing to listen to offers as they are in the midst of another lost season that will likely see them miss the playoffs for the eighth straight year. The deadline for trades is 6 pm. The deal needs to be done by August 2.

Ohtani will be a free agent after the23 season. He is in the middle of the race for the Most Valuable Player for the second year in a row.

Ohtani is batting.252 with 21 home runs and 59 runs scored, but he's been even better on the mound. In 16 starts, Ohtani is 9-5 with a 2.80 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 134 strikeouts. It would be a huge shock if the Angels dealt him before the deadline.

The most likely players to be traded by Los Angeles are starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard, closer Raisel Iglesias, and relief pitcher Ryan Tepera.
