RFK Racing is owned by the Fenway Sports Group, which has a partnership with King James. James has an ownership stake in the car as he does with other teams. James has a piece of one of the cars.
The goal of the foundation was to assist the children, families and community in James' hometown. The I Promise School is one of the initiatives the Lakers' forward has done. Outreach to at-risk youth is the focus of the school. Students who complete the program will receive free tuition at the University of Akron.
