  • During a golf tournament in Saudi Arabia, Trump said that nobody had gotten to the bottom of 9/11.

  • A group of 9/11 victims' family called on Trump to cancel the event.

  • Trump was in favor of Saudi Arabia. He said that what they're doing for golf is wonderful.

When asked about the protests against a Saudi-backed golf tournament being hosted at his club in Bedminster, New Jersey, the former President said that nobody had gotten to the bottom of 9/11.

The maniacs that did that horrible thing should have been brought to justice, according to Trump. The golf tour is funded by Saudi Arabia's crown prince.

The president defended Saudi Arabia. "I've known these people for a long time in Saudi Arabia and they've been friends of mine for a long time." They're doing great things for golf.

The family members of 9/11 victims spoke out against the tournament and called on Trump to cancel it. Saudi nationals were involved in fifteen of the nineteen hijackers. Family members of victims have suggested that the Saudi government may have been involved in the attacks.

The 9/11 Justice group, made up of family members of 9/11 victims, criticized Trump for hosting the tournament.

The evidence is clear. The Saudi nation is responsible for the death of our loved ones. The group wrote a letter to the president.

We can't understand how you could agree to accept money from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's golf league to host their tournament at your golf course, and to do so in the shadows of Ground Zero in New Jersey, which lost over 700 residents during the attacks," the letter said.

It's not clear if Trump was referring to Saudi involvement in 9/11 when he spoke to the sports network. Al Qaeda was behind the 9/11 terror attacks. Bin Laden was killed in a raid.

The 9/11 attacks were blamed on Saudi Arabia. The people were not the Iraqis. The person was from Saudi. During an interview with Fox News, Trump said to take a look at Saudi Arabia. The majority of the people were from Saudi Arabia. He said that they did not come from Iraq.

At a time when lawmakers on both sides of the aisle called for the US to rethink its relationship with Riyadh, Trump took a controversial approach to his relationship with the Saudi government.

Trump tried to distance the US from the kingdom on issues like the Yemen war by shielding Prince Mohammed from the backlash.

A $2 billion investment was made in a firm controlled by the son-in-law of the former president. The de-facto ruler of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed, had a close relationship with the senior advisor to the president.
