Many social media users speculated that it was a portal for "Stranger Things", but it was not. It looks like the red glow that pilotDustin Maggard captured in photos and video of the Pacific Ocean was human.
CNN reported yesterday that the red lights in Maggard's photos were probably fishing boats. Dr. Neil Jacobs, a renowned weather modeling expert, was asked by the outlet about the mysterious lights. The red lights are used on boats to attract Pacific saury.
Jacobs said they were commercial fishing vessels. "I'm very sure of it."
It's a very convincing explanation. Moos said that Jacobs was able to locate the ships in question by logging into a public database and using his knowledge. Photos of the ships during the day that show how powerful the red lamps are have been posted by people on the social networking site.
The downside is not as pretty as it could be.
Japan's saury haul in the year was the lowest on record. The country's Pacific waters were warned about being overfished. Japan's fishing set a new record low in 2021. The Japanese fishing authorities were worried that China and Taiwan wouldn't like the new saury regulations.
There are other fishing countries in the world. It seems to be focused on how badly saury populations are doing.
Maybe this eerie red glow will light up more than just a video.
The Japanese city was terrorized by baby snatching monkeys.
