Spanish football expert Graham Hunter explains how Barcelona can afford their summer signings and their financial situation

After signing Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly and also having an interest in Nathan Ake, the Blues will now look for other centre-back targets. Sky Sports News reported earlier this week that the Blues are interested in the Frenchman.

In March, Fofana signed a two-year extension with the club. He has a deal until the year 2027. Real Madrid and Barcelona were the destinations of choice for the two players who joined them.

How did Barcelona steal Kounde from Chelsea?

Sky sports reporter, Dharmesh Sheth.

"If you look at last summer's transfer window and this summer's one, you'll see that they were very interested in signing Jules Kounde." They were certain that they would sign him. But then Barcelona came into the picture. It looked like Kounde's head had been turned.

Sevilla wouldn't want to sell Kounde to Barcelona because it would have been a good deal for the club. Sevilla and Barcelona are both in the same league and have a chance to finish in the top two.

They had a deal with Raphinha but lost out to Barcelona. How are Barcelona doing all of these deals?

Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel says there is 'no update' on his club's pursuit of Sevilla's Jules Kounde and also says he does not want to give up on Cesar Azpilicueta.

Tuchel admits he is annoyed with Barcelona over their pursuit of Azpilicueta.

The 32-year-old has a year left on his contract and wants to return to his native Spain with Barcelona.

Tuchel doesn't know if he wants to give Azpilicueta what he wants or if he wants to compare his value to that of other players.

Tuchel said that he may have been annoyed by the Spanish giants pursuit of Azpilicueta.

Tuchel was unsure if he would give Azpi what he wanted.

It is about what we want. I compared how much we fought for the national team player with his age.

He is an important player for Napoli but he is not the captain of the team. I think he's at the same level as Barcelona don't think so. I don't know if I should give him what he wants or not.

We don't pay a lot of attention to other clubs. What we need is what the focus is on. I said it to him and he said it to me as well. I am also involved in giving him what he wants. I want to do what's best for the club.

He understands that he doesn't like it, but he doesn't like it very much. The other club is always on him. When things calm down, he can play his best.
