Trump's former campaign manager said the ex-president is now surrounded by people trying to take advantage of him

Donald Trump's campaign manager has accused Trump's advisers of looking to take advantage of the former president.

"I think a lot of people have seen the dollar signs with their relationship with Donald Trump," said Lewandowski during an appearance on the conservative network Real America's Voice

"They want him to run for office because it's good for them or because they think there's an opportunity down the road to chastise him, to write a book, a tell-all," he said.

During the Republican primary, Donald Trump fired his campaign manager.

He said during Tuesday's show that many of Trump's supporters are pretending to back him so they can leave afterwards and berate him.

After his dismissal from Fox News, he was hired as a political commentator. He signed a non-disclosure agreement prohibiting him from making negative comments about the former president.

He and David Bossie wrote a book together called "Let Trump Be Trump: The Inside Story of His Rise to the Presidency."

Several former Trump aides have broken off from the former president and published tell-alls detailing their experiences under his administration.

They include high-profile officials such as former Defense Secretary Mark Esper, one-time White House Press Secretary, and former Attorney General Bill Barr.

A small group of Trump aides, including himself, Bossie, and Dave Scavino, have remained loyal to the former president and have his best interests at heart, according to Donald Trump's former campaign manager.

He is the chairman of a political action committee called Fight Back Now America, which is trying to support candidates who are similar to Donald Trump.

It's not clear if the man still has any ties to the man. After a Republican donor accused him of making unwanted sexual advances, Trump fired his campaign manager.

A spokesman for Trump said that the man would no longer be associated with the company.
