  • The show from Las Vegas was broadcast on the sports network.

  • Only one of the four winners deserved a UFC contract.

  • Dana White rewarded a fighter nicknamed Bodybagz with a deal.

The first episode of Dana White's Contender Series was broadcast on Tuesday.

Should an athlete impress the UFC boss, they will receive a full-time contract with the company to sign there and then.

They need to fight in a way that makes White happy. That's usually done by aggressive behavior.

You can guarantee a deal if you leave the judges out of the equation.

Sean O'Malley, Maycee Barber, and Carlos Ulberg are just a few of the alumni who have gone on to success in the UFC.

On Tuesdays, there will be 10 weekly fight cards at the Apex, which will be broadcasted on the sports network. There is an hour and a half later.

The first week's results, highlights, and contract winners can be found on this page.

There was a four-fight card on Tuesday.

The matches were included.

  1. Costa and Luna are flyweights.

  2. Dennis Buzukja is in a fight with another person.

  3. The lightweight is Acacio dosSantos.

  4. The middleweight match is between Joe Pyfer and OzzyDiaz.

The sixth season of Dana White's Contender Series began with a fight between two flyweight fighters.

The fighters were slow to get going.

Costa was knocked out in the second when he hit Luna.

Costa was in control in the third, which was the most frenetic of the fight.

After three rounds of action, Costa was the winner.

Costa said he was not happy because he wanted to finish the fight.

It's important for a man to get to 12-0 and so I'm happy to be the one to take that away from him.

Costa told Dana that he was waiting for a contract. It was just 10% of me.

Costa had a pro MMA record of 10 wins against two losses.

Buzukja was unperturbed by the stage and what was on the line.

Buzukja began throwing punches at Romero and eventually dropped him in the second.

Knowing a finish could guarantee the UFC contract, Buzukja increased the aggression but was unable to put him away.

He apologized to Dana because he thought his opponent held him.

"I'm happy, I got the win, I'm blessed," said the man. I thank the Almighty.

I always look for knockouts or submissions. It was 15 minutes of hell to be a UFC fighter.

Buzukja's pro MMA record now stands at eight wins, three knockouts and five decisions.

He had lost by decision to Melsik Baghdasaryan in 2020.

In the last bout of the night, Acacio dosSantos and Anton Turkalj fought for the title.

At the start of the first and second round, Acacio dosSantos was looking to land a lot of strikes on Anton Turkalj.

The Brazilian fighter hasn't won by knockout in over a year, but his power may be deceptive as the noise from his shots could be heard.

Turkalj took his opponent's power away in the first and second rounds. He made a decision in the first. In the second, he kept himself out of harm's way on his feet, while hitting dosSantos with strikes of his own.

Turkalj took the fight to the ground in the third round as he told the story of the fight.

He looked in control from there.

The judges gave a unanimous decision to the Swedish fighter.

After his three-round win, Turkalj said he wasn't tired.

I did what I was paid to do.

He said he would finish them in the first round.

He was surprised when Laura Sanko asked if he had a message for the UFC boss.

I am not sure if Dana is here. I traveled all the way from Sweden to see you. He said it would be great.

Turkalj had a pro MMA record of eight wins with five knockouts, two submissions, and one decision. He's still perfect.

The last bout of the night was the one between Joe Pyfer and OzzyDiaz. Did it deliver?

In the second round, Joe Pyfer hit the floor. That's right!

The event was saved by Joe Pyfer.

The first three bouts were boring.

Pyfer, whose nickname is Bodybagz, was determined to put on a show and he showed that in his fight against the other side of the ring.

The TV studio was a hive of activity after his knockout win.

It has to be thought of to be true.

Despite calling his performance flat, Pyfer said he was so emotional.

He said that he's a mental case. I can perform here. That was my percentage. I arrived to get the job.

The highlight clip below shows that he achieved his goal.

Pyfer was the only fighter to get a full-time UFC contract.

Every Tuesday, Dana White's Contender Series airs.
