A new "forever" stamp is being released by the USPS to celebrate the James Webb Space Telescope.
The new stamps will be available for pre-order through the USPS's online stamp store on August 8th.
A stamp commemorates the start of the telescope's science mission and depicts the golden honeycomb mirror and its large sun shields in space as Earth and the moon can be seen in the distance behind it. The telescope's mirrors reflect a deep-field view of space. The Space Telescope Science Institute in Baltimore gave an image to the stamp's designer, according to a USPS statement.
