Last week, Trump's attorney, Jim Trusty, sent a letter to CNN's CEO demanding that the network take down false and defamatory publications.

He said in the letter that CNN fed a narrative that denounced President Trump's legitimacy and competency, and that they rushed to label Trump a liar for his voter fraud allegations.

CNN was accused of treating Trump worse than other public figures found to be dishonest by the letter.

The former president has yet to provide evidence to back up his claim that the media deceived the public.

CNN didn't reply to a request from Forbes.

In the weeks following election night in 2020, Trump went to court and lost in cases centered around his claims of fraud in the election, though a lawsuit against CNN would differ from those earlier cases since it would take issue with the network's coverage. The former president does not have a good record with defamation suits. A federal judge in 2020 tossed a lawsuit the Trump campaign filed against CNN, claiming the network was biased against Trump, and a similar lawsuit against the New York Times was dismissed last year. The House January 6 committee hearings revealed that top advisors repeatedly told Trump there was no basis for his voter fraud claims.

Trusty's letter seemed to acknowledge that the legal efforts to overturn election results were not realistic. Trusty said that lawyers for the President pursued a claim that an elaborate international conspiracy, coupled with a commonly used voting machine, were somehow responsible for President Biden's win.

Big Number

More than seven thousand. Trusty says that CNN has made references to the "Big Lie" more than any other network. He demanded that CNN stop using "big lie" and "lying" when describing President Trump's belief in the integrity of the 2020 election. CNN has been accused of skewing to the political left in its coverage and Licht told them to stop using the term "Big Lie".

The judge dismissed the lawsuit against CNN.

The hearing shows rioters repeating Trump's baseless election claims.

CNN's new boss wants to stop calling the big lie a big lie.

The GOP has lost more than 50 post- election lawsuits.
