On Wednesday, the former President said he would be filing a lawsuit against CNN for defaming him.
Trump said in a statement that he plans to file a lawsuit against CNN. I will be taking action against other media outlets who have lied to the public about the evidence of fraud during the 2020 election. I will continue to fight for the truth and the future of our country.
A letter from Trump's attorneys to CNN executives was dated July 21 and called for the network to correct statements it made about Trump.
Many of the examples cited are related to the network's coverage of Trump's claims that the election was fraudulent. CNN often referred to those claims as lies, false narratives and baseless theories. Those descriptions are false, according to the lawsuit.
In some of the lawsuits that were dismissed because of a lack of evidence, the judges appointed by Trump were the ones who made the decision.
