As it looks to build out its library with notable third-party titles, Sony is bringing eight Yakuza games to PS Plus this year. The game will be available on PS4 and PS5 on August 2nd. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 is one of the games hitting the base Essential tier.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon is the only game that will hit the essential tier. The extra and premium versions of the service will be added in August. The Premium tier will be home to Yakuza 3 and 4. The PS3 games are only available in the cloud. The Song of Life will be hitting Premium and Extra in the near future.
Sony doesn't put its own blockbuster games out on PS Plus on the day they're released. To attract new users and keep existing members on board, it has to find other ways. If you want to revisit the earlier games, you might want to sign up for PS Plus or play through them all.
