There is a partnership between a NASCAR racetrack and a college football player.

Atlanta Motor Speedway did one-off social media promotions with a trio of Georgia football players to promote its most recent NASCAR Cup Series events, but the NIL agreement with Darlington Raceway is for a full year.

The speedway's marketing campaigns will include the use of his social media channels.

The racetrack's full schedule of events will be promoted. The first photos and video for the campaign were shot at the race track. The Chanticleers open their season in September. The 73rd edition of the Southern 500 is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. The time is on Sunday.

Indian Trail, North Carolina, a Charlotte suburb, is 80 miles to the northwest of Coastal Carolina University.

Fans who attend NASCAR events at Darlington prefer to stay at the beach next to Coastal Carolina. Kerry Tharp was the sports information director for 20 years at the University of South Carolina, where he worked with the likes of Steve Spurrier.
