In October, Microsoft will hold an in-person tech event for the first time since the coronaviruses began. Microsoft's annual conference for developers and IT professionals will be held in Seattle between October 12th and 14th.
In August, the software maker is going to open registration for the event, and it will be free to attend. A central event at the Seattle Convention Center is one of the things Microsoft is planning. The Seattle in-person experience will include interactive activities at the Seattle Convention Center. The FAQ doesn't explain how Microsoft will limit attendees' exposure to COVID-19 or whether masks and vaccinations will be required.
Microsoft Ignite takes place just ahead of the Surface 10-year anniversary
The 10th anniversary of Surface is just days away. On October 26th, 2012 Microsoft launched its SurfaceRT tablets. Microsoft will release the 22H2 update for Windows 11 in late September, as well as marking the 10-year anniversary of Surface with new products, according to sources. The latest Windows, Office, and Azure updates will likely be covered by Microsoft.
Due to the coronaviruses epidemic, Microsoft made all of its internal and external events digital only. One of the company's first digital-only events was MicrosoftBuild, and the company continued with several special gaming, cloud, and Windows events throughout 2021.
