Dina Asher-Smith has pulled out of the Commonwealth Games due to a minor injury.

Asher-Smith withdrew from the women's 4x 100m relay final at the World Championships on Monday due to an injured ankle.

She needed a few days off to protect a minor problem after winning a bronze medal in the 200m.

She said there were no major issues.

Four years ago, Asher- Smith came third in the 200m at the Commonwealth Games.

She was a member of the England 4x 100m relay team.

She wrote on social media that she needed a few days off.

Due to the short time between the end of the Worlds and the start of the Commonwealth Games, I'm withdrawing.

After winning a bronze medal in Oregon, Asher- Smith spoke of her pain.

She won the medal after her Olympic campaign was ruined by a injury and her grandmother died.

Asher-Smith said she was excited to race in front of a crowd.

I am confident that Team England will do you all proud.

Asher-Smith is hoping to compete in the European Championships.
