The company announced on Wednesday that it is adding realistic aerial views to its maps. The views give you an overhead look at landmarks in cities like Barcelona, London, New York, San Francisco, and Tokyo.

You can see what the new aerial views look like in this Gif.

The first step in launching the "immersive view" is the aerial views. Information like traffic and the weather will be included in the Immersive view. In Los Angeles, London, New York, San Francisco and Tokyo, immersive view will be available later this year, according to the company.

There are a number of new features in Maps. If your route includes stairs or steep hills and you can expect heavy traffic, you will be able to see additional information. notifications will be sent when someone gets to or leaves a location if someone has shared their location with you. The Find My app has the same feature.

Moore says that the new aerial views and location sharing notifications are now available on both the iPad and the mobile device. In the coming weeks, the updated cycling route information will be launched.
