The last time Michigan defeated Ohio State on the road was in 2000 when Harbaugh was in his 30s and a quarterback for the San DiegoChargers.

Harbaugh told reporters at Big Ten media days that they wouldn't flinch. I don't need to teach them or show them. By now I know our team very well. We want to win the championship again, because they don't blink, they don't flinch, and they just keep attacking.

Harbaugh is confident and it should come as no surprise.

The first six years of his tenure as his alma mater's head coach were defined by near-misses and failed goals. Michigan defeated its archrival for the first time with Harbaugh on the sideline. The Big Ten title was won for the first time since the conference title game began.

Despite losing in the College Football Playoff, the season was still a success.

Harbaugh said that last season was good. Let's see if we score all four goals. Michigan State and Ohio State need to be beaten in the same year. Let's win the Big Ten title. Let's go after those four goals.

The UM lost to the Spartans in the midst of all that success.

Harbaugh has a combined 4-9 record against the school's two biggest rivals so there is still work to be done if he is going to enjoy the sustained success that is expected of a program like Michigan.

The 15 point victory over Ohio State last year was a satisfying result for the coach. It won't be an easy task to beat the Ohio State in back-to-back years.

The coach seems to be prepared for what will be a loud crowd at Ohio Stadium.
