  • Donald Trump gave a preview of his plans for a second term as president.

  • He advocated for a purge of federal employees.

  • He had a plan in place to get it done in 2020.

Donald Trump affirmed his intent to purge non-loyalist federal government employees if he wins a second term in office.

While speaking at the America First Institute Summit on Tuesday, Trump confirmed reports about his intent to implement "Schedule F," an executive order which would reassign government employees in a way that would make it easier to fire them and replace them with political appointees.

In his speech, Trump promised to "drain the swamp and root out the deep state" and said that it would be easier to fire rogue bureaucrats who were trying to undermine democracy.

The president should be given the power to fire anyone who is corrupt, incompetent, or unneeded for the job. Trump told them to get out.

The workings of the plan were kept under wraps until they were ready to be implemented.

While in DC on Tuesday, Trump did not say if he will run for president in four years. He has been teasing a run.

The Schedule F executive order was signed by Trump in his last months in office but he lost the election. In his first days in office, President Biden withdrew the order.

If Trump were to serve a second term, Washington would be completely different. It takes 15 years to fire someone who is doing a bad job, according to the current appeals process.
